Book Description:
The Cradle Robber: Rachel Roderick is a forty-year-old married woman, who is the mother of three. She discloses secret confessions about opening Pandora's box. She meets this young man that is half her age and because of that connection and other traumatic experiences, she learns how to stand up for herself and she is able to make several positive life changes. Rachel describes her adventure with twenty-three year old Cedrick as heavenly. This novel has an extremely graphic domestic violence and sexual abuse scenes. It also has many romantic scenes. The reader takes a roller coaster ride of emotions and ultimately falls in love with the main character or at least respects her newfound strength.
Letter From Published author Carol Gee about The Cradle Robber...
Like her heroine Rachel, the author Latonya Peterson knows what it is like to weather the storms of life. However, through perseverance much like her character, she continues to triumph. The Cradle Robber takes readers on a roller coaster ride of emotions and ultimately they fall in love with Rachel; who much like Ms. Peterson finds her own truth as a daughter, as a mother, and as a woman.
A must-read!

Book Description:
There’s One Nut in Every Family : A fiction novel about different stories describing family life. It is written in a humorous way yet, it attempts to bring to the surface the realities in every family in terms of the unique differences in personality of the family members. We all have those members in our family that create constant challenges. In most cases there maybe more than one extreme personality and there’s always one nut. It is a nationally accepted fact that God picks your family and you pick your friends… The author attempts to raise social awareness about issues such as substance abuse, acceptance and other life challenges... Additionally, the author has imposed a spiritual message that she hopes will inspire her readers to keep their faith and hope alive.
Letter from a reader that is also a respected friend and Priest:
Latonya Peterson's novel There's One Nut in Every Family is full of action and interaction of family members that titillates them between divisiveness and connectedness. She makes come alive each member of the family and translates in the flow of her words their reaction to the nutty and sometime devastating behavior of some family members. She weaves throughout the scenarios of There's One Nut in Every Family the sublimity of family connectedness ever surfacing and bringing its Identities, by the Grace of God, to audaciously love and forgive one another. ‘There’s One Nut in Every Family is dedicated to Ms. Peterson's grand son, Bryant. As she shares the brief life of Bryant we feel the role she plays within her own family's real life drama of staying connected. There's One Nut in Every Family brings with its reading the moral of the scenarios which is to look to the valuation of ones own family connectedness. It, too, offers the reader the opportunity to be the catalyst for bringing about and?or maintaining family connectedness.

There's One Nut in Every Family:
I dedicate this novel in memory of my grandson Brian Antwon Akhimie. (September 5, 2007 – October 31, 2007). Brian was only seven weeks when he transitioned. He was initially a twin but that sibling died before birth at nine weeks gestation. My grandson Brian was a fighter, which came to him naturally because he was from a family of survivors. Even though he faced many medical challenges he was born. His death was deemed through causes of suspicious occurrences; Brian stopped breathing. I understand that only God can provide us with the True Cause of his death.
As grandmother to Brian I am certain that he was aware of the love that the family had for him; how special he was to us all and how much we treasured him. I enjoyed our short time together though I wish we had been provided with much more. I realize that my wish can never be realized in this life and therefore I pray to God for continued peace of mind. I know that Fallen Angel’s do return home so I know that Brian has joined God and his sibling in a better place called Heaven. (Grandma promises to try and continue to live right and as a Christian Brian, I have no doubt that we will meet again).
I dedicate this book in memory of Brian Akhimie for he was a blessing by God for his mother Krystol Akhimie and this family. A life long treasured memory for the family to be proud of… Brian we will love you forevermore… Grandma

A Poem honoring innocent people... Unloosen your chains and let my brother’s and sister’s go free. You were wrong when you put them in jail and threw away the key. I’m telling you today- that I will never go away. This unfair use of justice is on trial today. Give it up! Let them go free. I swear to my father that you will constantly have to contend with me.
Their only crime was that they were poor nothing more. That’s why we have millions of poor folk of all races behind the systems Steele doors. Unloosen your grip on my people. Put down that damn whip! We seek justice today and we will never go away.
You stated that when her child died the mother never cried? Was that observed only during the time - when you were charging her with the crime? A mother charged for not protecting her child? Her folks say that with the news of his death that mother cried out loud…
You say that a young man was hanging on the block. At the same time another man was killed with a Glock? He had no powder burns on his hand. But, he was arrested because he ran from the man… There’s nothing new about my people running from you. We know that the man - will lock you up cause he can.
Unloosen your chains and let my brother’s and sister’s go free. You were wrong when you locked them up and threw away the key. I’m telling you now that we will never go away. This unfair system of justice is on trial today!

There are thousands of victims that are stuck behind those Steele doors of injustice. Even if for only a few months it's wrong... Please write to me and share your experiences where you had to battle the system of justice. Your name and identity will be protected. I am collecting information for a future novel. My desire is to raise the public conscious in terms of the number of innocent people/parents that are incarcerated and attempting to prove themselves while locked behind steele doors. I would also like to encourage our justice system to consider reevaluating current practices in order to be more sensitive in practice. Send me your stories. Even if you were not jailed, but had a difficult time proving your innocence due to financial handicaps and other factors. I respect the system because it's all we have, but I believe it's time that we all take a closer look at current practises in order to make it a better system for us all. Thank you...
